Is mix for shields wrong ???? Empty Is mix for shields wrong ????

On mixing guide it states :

Shield: 4 Celesto 4 Devine 4 Murky
AbsRate +1.2 DefRTG +40 Block +5% HP +40


Have i misunderstood, but to me, I read it as getting an extra 5% block, not 5% of total block.

For example : my shield was 20% block, I cele mixed it, and expected to get a shield with 25% block, but instead got a shield with 21% block.

5% of 20 = 1

20+1=21% Sad


If i only wanted an extra 1% block i would have aged it twice. 5% block is the equialent of aging to +10.

The whole point of mixing, is to get better stats instantly, compared to better stats over time, as what you get with aging.

I know this is a private server, and sheltoms and gold are easily come by, but if this was EPT, where celestos are a rarity, i would have used 4 cele, 4 dev and 4 murky to get an extra 1% block. But if i would have aged it, it would have cost me, 4 fads, 4 sparkies and 3 raids on that very self and same server to get that extra 1%.

yea, same thing goes for criticals. its suposed to add 5% but all you get is 1%

In the "mix editor", the programmer may put +5% with the inttention of actually giving flat 5%, but setting mix to add 5% of anything gives exactly 5% of the value to add.

Hmm i actually didn't notice the same thing happening with crit rate until you just mentioned it. As skullkid mentioned, probably a mixup in the coding. i guess the lesson is to age all high level items x.x
