Rank up question

Hi. I tried the ctrl + 0 thing to rank up, and it logged me off the game. when I relogged, i was not ranked up. i already started the quest, so i dont know if that was it.
but anyway, how do I do it using the ctrl + 0 way?

if the ctrl 0 logged you off, then you forgot to turn numlock on first. Make sure numlock is turned on, then try using ctrl 0 on the number pad.
